捷運蘆洲線99年底完工通車

日前媒體報導捷運蘆洲線受到內湖木柵線系統不穩定影響，該線通車時程因而無法達成提前於明年2月通車之承諾，往後展延……云云，本局特此澄清，捷運蘆洲線奉行政院核定之通車時程為99年12月31日，為期儘早紓解蘆洲、三重地區之交通擁擠，縮短旅運時間，本局努力趲趕工進，希望能較院管通車期程提前，而以99年9月通車為目標。本局從未承諾提前於明年2月農曆春節前通車。
捷運蘆洲線屬地下高運量捷運系統，東起臺北大橋下西北側三和路一段與環河北路交叉口與新莊線接軌沿西北向行進，經臺北縣三重市三和路、蘆洲市中山一路、三民路抵達蘆洲機廠，全長約6.4公里，包含5個車站，分別為三重國小站、三和國中站、徐匯中學站、三民高中站、蘆洲站及一座機廠。
捷運蘆洲線穿越蘆洲市及三重市，兩城市均位於淡水河西側，與臺北市隔河相望，在地緣上形成同一生活區。蘆洲市人口約有19萬，三重市人口則約有38萬，居民均藉由重陽橋、臺北橋、忠孝橋、中興橋等橋樑及中山高速公路進出臺北市區，造成區域內主要幹道尖峰時間車潮擁擠，耗費居民相當大的旅運時間及社會成本。因此，及早興建完工實有其急迫性，相信捷運蘆洲線於99年底完工通車，將提供更完備、便捷、舒適之交通運輸服務。

Luzhou Line to be Completed by Year-end 2010
Recently some media outlets have reported that the opening of the Taipei MRT’s Luzhou line will be postponed and it will not be completed on schedule in February 2010 due to the impact of system instability on the Neihu-Muzha line. DORTS responded with a clarification that the opening date of the Luzhou line approved by the Executive Yuan is December 31, 2010. In fact, in order to relieve heavy traffic congestion experienced in the Luzhou and Sanchong areas and shorten travel times as early as possible, DORTS has spared no effort to maintain construction progress, with the goal of providing MRT service on the Luzhou line beginning in September 2010, three months ahead of the approved date.
According to DORTS, the Executive Yuan has already approved the schedule for the operation of the Luzhou line from the turnout section to Xinzhuang line’s Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station starting on Dec. 31, 2010. DORTS never promised to begin commercial service as far ahead of the scheduled date as February 2010 as reported in some media outlets.
