Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin Line
Phase II The Wanda-Zhonghe-Shulin line Phase II continues along
Jincheng Road where Phase I ends, and rises to run on an elevated level after
passing Minde Road. It then crosses over Chenglin Bridge, runs along Jincheng
Road, Zhonghua Road, Bade Street, Daan Road, and then turns in to Zhongzheng
Road before ending at the Xinzhuang line's Huilong Station. The total length of
the route is 13.3 km with two underground stations and 11 elevated stations.
Ankeng Line
The Ankeng line will run at ground level from the planned Erbazi
Botanical Garden and along Ankeng No.1 Road (under planning) to Anhe Road, then
change to an elevated mode to travel along Anhe Road, IV-26 Planned Road, then
turn right to cross the Xindian River and connect to the planned Circular line
in the Shisizhang District. The line totaling 7.8 km will be a light-rail
transit (LRT) system with 10 stations and one depot located on the west side of
Erbazi Botanical Garden. Sanying Line
The corridor study of the Sanying line began in February 2003.
Based on the feasibility study, the line will be constructed with an LRT system
on elevated tracks from Dingpu Station on the Tucheng line, running along
Zhongyang Road to Sanxia and crossing National Highway No.3 to Yingge. The
corridor study report was finished at the end of 2004, and submitted to the
Executive Yuan via the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for
approval. Minsheng-Xizhi Line
A corridor study of the Minsheng-Xizhi line was completed in
December 2007. The suggestion of the preliminary study is to have the line built
partly underground and partly elevated. The line will begin from Dadaocheng
Station beneath Minsheng West Road in Taipei City. It will then run along
Minsheng West and East Road, pass through the Minsheng Community, and extend
beneath the Keelung River to the Neihu District. The line will then change to an
elevated mode and end at Xintai 5th Road in New Taipei City's Xizhi District.
The total length of the Minsheng-Xizhi line will be 17 km with 15 stations and
one depot. The depot will be located at the Shehou Industrial District in Xizhi.
The suggestions of the corridor study have not yet been approved by the Ministry
of Transportation and Communications. Shezi, Shilin and Beitou Light Rail
Lines
An LRT system with two lines is suggested to serve the Shezi,
Shilin, and Beitou areas: One will run east-west across the study area and the
other from north to south.
1. North-South Route
It will run from Beitou through Zhoumei and Shezi along Chongqing
North Road and end at the Xinzhuang line's Daqiaotou Station. The total length
will be about 9.1 km connecting 10 stations and one depot.
2. East-West Route
It will run from Shezi through Zhoumei along Fuguo Road,
Zhongcheng Road, and terminate near the Tianmu Baseball Stadium. The total
length will be about 8.8 km connecting 11 stations and one depot.
Both routes will be constructed in an elevated mode. The completed
corridor study of these two routes has been submitted to the Executive Yuan via
the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for approval.
North-South Line
The corridor study of the North-South line was completed in December 2007 and
is currently being reviewed by the Ministry of Transportation and
Communications.
The study proposed a single route, which will begin from Jiannan Rd. Station
on the Wenhu line, run along Jingye 3rd Road, Lequn 2nd Road, Ruiguang Road, and
Xinhu 1st Road. The line will then pass beneath the Keelung River and run
beneath Jiankang Road, Guangfu North Road, Guangfu South Road, Keelung Road,
Xinhai Road, Xinsheng South Road, Siyuan Road, before going underneath the
Xindian River, and connect with Chenggong Road in New Taipei City's Yonghe
District, and Chenggong Road in New Taipei City's Zhonghe District, then come to
an end on Jinping Road. The line will be 17.1 km, connecting 16 stations and one
depot.
Circular Line
- North Section & South Section The Circular line will
pass through 10 administrative districts across Taipei City and New Taipei City:
Wenshan, Xindian, Zhonghe, Banqiao, Xinzhuang, Wugu, Luzhou, Sanchong, Shilin
and Zhongshan. The line will connect with 10 MRT lines: the Wenhu, Xindian,
Ankeng, Zhonghe, Banqiao, and Xinzhuang lines, Taiwan Taoyuan International
Airport Access MRT System, Luzhou line, Shezi, Shilin, Beitou Light Rail lines,
and Tamsui line.
The Executive Yuan has approved the construction of the Circular
line to be implemented in two phases. The Circular line Phase I will pass
through Xindian, Zhonghe, Banqiao and Xinzhuang districts, and connect with five
MRT lines, the Xindian, Zhonghe, Banqiao, and Xinzhuang lines, and the Taiwan
Taoyuan International Airport Access MRT System. Implementation of the north and
sSouth sections of the Circular line (regarded as separate projects from the
Circular line Phase I) will be proposed to the Ministry of Transportation and
Communications for review.
